Cupar

The ceramic experience is an award-winning visitor attraction and ceramic painting studio. We are situated right in the heart of Cupar town centre, just off the Crossgate, at 49 Bonnygate.

Customers are supplied with everything from aprons to brushes, tiles and paint, all of which are non-toxic and food safe. You can choose to paint together as a family, or, while the kids are creating their masterpiece, Mum and Dad can relax with the days newspaper, a book, or make use of our free Wi-Fi. For your yonger children we have a free soft play and ball pit to enjoy and burn off some energy in!

A vast selection of blank ceramic pieces, from mugs and jugs to money banks and animal figures can be painted to your own design. Items can be painted either in acrylic paint or underglazes, which are than fired in our kilns and collected at a later date.

We can also preserve your child’s hand or footprint forever on a tile or plate, or even a clay impression, as the perfect memento for a mother, father or grandparent.

Schools

The ceramic experience would be delighted to visit your school. We come equipped with everything needed for a painting session and tidy up after ourselves at the end. You can paint with underglaze paints which we take away to be fired (non-toxic, food-safe and dishwasher-proof), or with acrylics, which are instant.

Parties

If you would like to have your child’s birthday party in the studio we have a reasonably priced party package that includes all catering (except the birthday cake) and the painting of a small ceramic figure or tile. The painting table is set up in advance and the guests can use up some energy in our soft play as they assemble.

The ceramic experience staff manage every aspect of the party so parents can sit back and relax in our café.

Corporate Events

The ceramic experience, Cupar is an excellent venue for a team-building event. Whether it be during the day or an evening, just let us know your budget per head and we can tailor an event to meet your needs with food and drinks and of course painting! You can even bring your own wine!

Café

Our Café serves freshly ground coffee which is roasted locally and, along with our homebaking, is the talk of the town! For breakfast we can toast you a teacake or an english muffin, or just good old toast. For lunch you can enjoy a toasty, panini, sandwich or wrap with many delicious fillings, or try our soup or a baked potato. we also offer a kids lunch which is excellent value for money.
