Feb '08 - New franchise open in Stirling by Easter '08!

Sept '07 - Cupar franchise opened, with Sittingbourne in Kent opening early October

March '07 - Latest Franchise open in Congleton!

Our latest franchise is opening on Saturday 31st March 2007 - with preview eveing on Friday 30th from 6-8pm - why not pop in for a glass of wine and some nibbles?

July '06 - ceramic experience Dunfermline wins Franchise of the Year!

In July, Shona, who owns the ceramic experience Dunfermline, was named 'Franchise of the Year' by the owner of the company, Anna St. Clair. Her branch of the business has only been trading for 15 months ans so this award was very gratifying and she thanks all of her customers and staff for thier support.

March '06 - Latest franchise opened at Loch Lomond Shores!

The ceramic experience opened it's latest franchise in March 2006 - at the prestegious Loch Lomond Shores, Balloch, principal gateway to Scotland’s first National Park. It is Scotland’s most spectacular visitor destination combining the beautiful environment with an outstanding mixture of leisure and shopping experiences overlooking the breathtacking views of Loch Lomond. We look forward to seeing you there!

Dec '05 - he ceramic experience “Sheer Pottery!” opens in Marchmont

The award-winning ‘ceramic experience’ has opened a new site – it’s tenth in five years - in Edinburgh ’s Marchmont area. Styled as a “High Street” version of the existing ceramic experience paint-your-own-pottery studios, the Sheer Pottery café is aimed at Marchmont locals, students, and anyone interested in painting their own ceramics, or just relaxing with a coffee and the best carrot cake in town.

The ceramic experience has won the Federation of Small Businesses “Scottish Small Business Champion Of The Year” award.

Nov '05 - Additional site opening in Edinburgh

Specially designed for adults and the over eights, our new site in Edinburgh has a cafe and painting and is very laid back.  The ceramic experience - Sheer Pottery opens in Marchmont Crescent late November. Watch this space for more details!

Press Release...the ceramic experience wins Best Business Award!

The ceramic experience - Scotland's premier ceramic painting studio has won the Scottish Region Federation of Small Business Award for Best Business. The company will join five other regional winners in the final at Claridges in London in November.

Managing Director, Anna St. Clair expressed her delight at winning the award - 'It's a great accolade for the ceramic experience, colleagues and franchises, and a fantastic boost for women in business everywhere. I'm looking forward to the finals in London and to win again there would be wonderful!'

The ceramic experience was launched in 2000 with their first site in Crieff, Perthshire. The company has grown over the years and expanded into franchising. There are three company owned sites and six franchises in Scotland and the North East. The ceramic experience will shortly be opening their seventh franchise in York .

Anna St Clair is the driving force behind the company and attributes her success to hard work and an easy going and open approach to staff and customers alike. A mentor for Scottish Enterprise, Anna is keen to pass on her knowledge and success to others and maintains that the key to future success lies in nurturing companies at the early stages.

July '05 - Kirkintilloch

March/April '05 - Dunfermline and Galashiels

Our newest franchises have recently opened - Dunfermline opened on Saturday 12th of March with a great opening day party, and Galashiels opened on the 19th. Check out the branch pages to see some photos from the party.

Nov '04 - Edinburgh

We moved our flagship site to our new premises at Ocean Drive, Edinburgh in Nov 2004. Sir Tom Farmer came back to his roots at Leith and opened the site for us. Look at the Edinburgh Site page for more information.
